President of University of Queensland Visited SJTU

On the morning of July 3rd, a delegation led by President Peter Høj from the University of Queensland (UQ), Australia visited SJTU. SJTU President Lin Zhongqin and SJTU Vice President Xu Xuemin met the delegation at the Minhang Campus.

In their meeting, UQ President Peter Høj shared its recent fruit in teaching reform, whereas SJTU President Lin Zhongqin shared its recent fruit in scientific research. And a consensus was reached in jointly working on paper publishing between both sides.

Peter expressed his wish to keep close contact with SJTU in multiple fields, including medicine, humanity and social sciences, and biological engineering, and to make breakthroughs in delivering the scientific results and starting up businesses. Lin agreed and proposed a future program combining start-up businesses and exchange program.

Both sides believed in the promising prospect for cooperation in teaching and scientific research in the future when they will launch more exchange programs between universities and encourage more in-depth communication between their students.
