SJTU Leaders Led Delegation to EuroTech Conference and EAIE Meeting

From September 21st to 27th, 2019, SJTU Vice President Xu Xuemin led a delegation to Switzerland and Finland to attend the EuroTech Universities Alliance Partner Conference and the 31st European Association of International Education (EAIE) Meeting, and has promoted the cooperation with famous international universities. The delegation also visited Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich and the University of Helsinki.

From September 22nd to 23rd, Xu Xuemin delegation attended the first EuroTech Universities Alliance Partner Conference held at Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne. During the bilateral meetings with member universities, Xu Xuemin gave a detailed introduction to the latest developments and international projects of SJTU, reviewed the existing bilateral cooperation, focused on the student exchange, seed fund projects, joint doctoral training and postgraduate scholarships, and reached a consensus on cooperation. During the two-day Partner Day visit, Xu Xuemin also reached a preliminary agreement of summer exchange dual master’s degree with Johns Hopkins University, and exchanged views on student exchange with members of EuroTech.

On September 24th, the delegation visited Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich for programs of student exchanges and postgraduate scholarships.

From September 25th to 27th, the delegation attended the annual meeting of EAIE in Helsinki, Finland.

During the visit to Finland, the delegation visited the Embassy of China in Finland and the University of Helsinki, together with Guo Liang and Li Ping from SJTU International Affairs Division.
