Strategic Cooperation in Four Fields Expected to Launch
On the morning of November 4, Shanghai Jiao Tong University delegation led by President Zhang Jie, accompanied by Vice Presidents Zhang Wenjun and Huang Zhen visited Shanghai Advanced Research Institute (SARI) of Chinese Academy of Science (CAS) to discuss about cooperation and was cordially received by President Feng Songlin and other members of SARI.
During this visit, SJTU and SARI have agreed on later cooperation in four fields, namely materials science, information science, life sciences and management science with the intention to promote the collaborative innovation. Both sides indicate that this research exchange is very fruitful and inspiring and has laid a good foundation for further cooperation.
Based on the orientation of sustainable economic development in Shanghai, Shanghai Advanced Research Institute (SARI) of Chinese Academy of Science (CAS) , founded by Chinese Academy of Science and Shanghai Municipal Government and located at the high-tech zone, Pudong District, aims at enhancing the ability of independent innovation and establishing a high-tech research and personnel training institute relying on a multi-disciplinary ground.
