Vice-President Huang Zhen met with Rector of University of Peloponnese

On March 21, Rector of University of Peloponnese (UOP) Prof. Theodoros Papatheodorou and Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) Vice-President Huang Zhen signed the UOP-SJTU cooperative agreement respectively on behalf of the two universities on Minhang Campus.

Prof. Huang introduced SJTU's international programs in recent years. He also said it was of great significance that through the cooperation, the cultures of Greece and China which boast time-honored civilizations are linked up.

Prof. Papatheodorou remarked that UOP will conduct substantive cooperation with SJTU School of Humanities and Institute for Advanced Study in European Culture in student exchange, academic cooperation, summer school, international forum and so on, and expressed his good wishes for the cooperation. He also invited SJTU delegation to visit UOP and the beautiful Greece.

Consul General of Greece in Shanghai Dr. Kalpyris said it was a pleasure for Consulate General of the Hellenic Republic in Shanghai to serve as a link between SJTU and universities in Greece and would provide assistance to the greatest extent.
