President Zhang Jie met with President of PLA University of Science and Technology

President Zhang Jie met with the visiting delegation led by Zhang Yafei, President of PLA University of Science and Technology in New Administration Building on April 24. SJTU Vice President Lin Zhongqin, Assistant to President Peng Yinghong attended the meeting. President Zhang Jie welcomed the visiting guests and briefed them on SJTU's development course with the hope that both sides could conduct exchange and exploration in various fields.

Afterwards, a bilateral discussion was held in the conference room. Prof. Chen Jianping, Director of SJTU 211/985 Project Office, Prof. Liu Yangang, Deputy Head of Office of Research Management, Prof. Sun Baode, Deputy Dean of Advanced Technology & Equipment Research Institute respectively introduced the related work at SJTU.

That afternoon, accompanied by SJTU leaders concerned, President Zhang Yafei and his delegation visited SJTU Achievement Exhibition Hall, the exhibition hall and labs of Institute of Automotive Engineering, and the deepwater offshore basin of State Key Laboratory of Ocean Engineering. The guests said they were impressed and inspired by the research achievements made by SJTU and were looking for collaboration in the related fields.
