Vice President Zhang Wenjun Meets with Rector of Chemnitz University of Technology

On the afternoon of September 6, Vice President Zhang Wenjun of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) met with the delegation led by Rector Arnold van Zyl of Chemnitz University of Technology (CUT), Germany.

Zhang Wenjun welcomed the visiting of Arnold van Zyl and introduced SJTU's development in discipline construction, teaching and research to the guests.

Arnold van Zyl said CUT has excellent educational experience and advanced ideas in inter-discipline subject and Electronic, Information and Engineering. He proposed a new cooperation platform between the two universities to enhance students and faculty mobility.

It is said that SJTU Research Institute of Micro/Nanometer Science and Technology, CUT and TU Berlin have taken on a doctoral cooperative project on "advanced interconnect material". The project is approved by DFG, German Research Foundation and the Ministry of Education of China.
