Huang Zhen meets with Matha Crago, Vice President of Dalhousie University (Canada)
On September 17, SJTU Vice President Huang Zhen met with Matha Crago, Vice President (Research) of Dalhousie University (Canada) on Minhang Campus. Vice Dean Xu Xiaobing and Prof. Fu Kuncheng of KoGuan Law School were also present.
Huang said apart from the corporation in maritime law, Dalhousie is welcomed to expand the research corporation in fields of mutual interest. He introduced SJTU's term reform to Crago, and invited Dalhousie law school students to take part in SJTU's summer programs and attend the courses in summer semester.
Crago mentioned that Dalhousie is among the top 15 universities in Canada according to the latest rank. Apart from the maritime law, majors like medicine, material science and chemistry are also very good. She said she would encourage Dalhousie students to apply for the short-term courses held by Law School at SJTU.
Both parties also expressed they would actively explore the mutual corporation in medicine and naval engineering.
It is said that this June, SJTU signed an agreement with Dalhousie University to conduct cooperation in the maritime law and policy.
