Zhang Jie Meets with President of Beloit College (US)

On the morning of September 20, SJTU President Zhang Jie met with the delegation led by Scott Bierman, President of Beloit College (US) on Xuhui Campus.

Zhang Jie welcomed the visiting of the delegation and introduced SJTU's development in internationalization and humanities and social sciences in recent years.

Bierman highly praised SJTU's direction and notion of the development in humanities and social science disciplines and hoped for faculty and students exchange in these fields.

After the meeting, the delegation also visited the university history museum on Xuhui Campus.

Beloit College, a private college of liberal arts and science, was founded in 1846 and locates in Wisconsin, America. At present, nearly 1300 undergraduates are enrolled in it with 130 teachers. Beloit College is well-recognized for its disciplines of anthropology and is closely connected to China for many professors there are experts in Chinese culture
