After the ceremony, Zhang Wenjun and Christopher Cripps, Dean of International Affairs of Ecole Centrale Paris, co-hosted the Sino-France Presidents Forum which aimed to share characteristics and experience in Chinese and French engineer education.

The Sino-France 4+4 Program was brought into effect in 1996.
