Vice President Huang Zhen Meets with Vice President of Ewha Woman’s University

On the afternoon of Nov. 29, SJTU Vice President Huang Zhen met with the visiting delegation led by Prof. Eunice Kyonghee Kim, Vice President of EWHA Woman's University, South Korea.

Assistant President Yan Liangyu, Vice Dean of KoGuan Law School Xu Xiaobing, Vice Dean of School of International Education Xu Min and Deputy Head of Office of Undergraduate Education Zhang Rui attended the meeting. 

Huang Zhen welcomed the special visit paid by Eunice Kyonghee Kim after her participation in the Fourth Sino-Korean University President Forum in Beijing. He briefed the guests on SJTU's development and Korean students' life and study at SJTU.

Huang also introduced SJTU's newly-added summer semester during which more English courses will be arranged for international students. He welcomed students from Ewha to attend summer school here while SJTU is willing to send students abroad, which can strengthen exchanges.

Eunice Kyonghee Kim said, founded in 1886, Ewha is the largest woman's university in the world and a comprehensive university among Korea's best. South Korea's first female prime minister, first lawyeress, and first female Vice President of Samsung all are alumnae of Ewha. Ewha hopes to establish exchange and cooperative relations with SJTU.

Huang Zhen concluded that both sides could start with the summer semester exchange and promote the future cooperation and exchange.
