President Zhang Jie attended SJTU 2012 Awarding Ceremony for “Impart Knowledge and Educate People” Prize Held

On January 8, SJTU 2012 Awarding Ceremony for Impart Knowledge and Educate People Prize held grandly on Minhang Campus. Special verbal message are sent by SJTU Chairperson Ma Dexiu from Beijing as she was having an important meeting there. SJTU President Zhang Jie attended the meeting and addressed. SJTU Vice President Su Ming, Wu Dan, Huang Zhen, Li Jianqiang also attended the awarding ceremony. Famous teacher of national-level, responsible person of relevant organs, Secretary of Party Committee, Deans; Vice Dean who in charge of the teaching work, teaching secretary and representatives of faculties and students from High/Middle/Primary School or Kindergarten Affiliated to SJTU also attended.

Awarding Ceremony pulled the curtain by staff chorus: To achieve the rejuvenation and Teacher, you and I share the name. People present watched video 2012 Talent Cultivation Memorabilia and all kept 3 minutes silence for grieving over the death of the teacher who passed away in the campus traffic accident on January 4.

In the verbal message, Chairperson Ma Dexiu congratulated the teachers who won the prize and sent greetings and wishes to their hard work in the frontline in teaching, research, management.

President Zhang Jie expressed appreciations to and showed respects for all SJTU faculties and students, congratulating those distinguished teachers who achieved the award.

President Zhang Jie, Vice President Su Ming, Wu Dan, Huang Zhen and Li Jianqiang issued the prizes.

National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Guidance Teacher Zhang Di, representative of National Excellent Doctoral Nomination Dissertation Guidance Teacher Wang Wenhua, Bao Gang Excellent Teacher Special Prize Nomination Award winner Li Shaoyuan, teacher representative of Most Popular Teacher Among Students Xu Jianrong, teacher representative of Elementary Education Award winner Ni Mei made speech respectively, expressing their strong enthusiasm on teaching and responsibility and mission of education career.

During the ceremony, the most popular teacher among student Liu Xila, his wife Chen Chen and his student Qiao Zhi gave an instrumental performance named pastoral song, the wonderful notes from students and teachers showed the harmony and mutual love of the wonderful movement.
