President of Amsterdam University Visited SJTU

On the afternoon of September 23, President of Amsterdam University Louise Gunning and her group visited SJTU. President Zhang Jie met with the guests on Minhang campus.

Zhang Jie introduced the long history, superiority subject, and recent developments of SJTU. Two sides expressed the willingness of increasing the number of exchange students, establishing joint laboratories and strengthening cooperation. Also, Zhang Jie and Louise Gunning signed student exchange agreements. Other relevant professors and responsible personnel from School of Biomedical Engineering, Bio-X Center and office of International Cooperation & Exchange, attended the meeting.

Louise Gunning and her group also visited the Bio-X Center. They expressed highly admiration towards the center advanced equipment and achievement of laboratories.

Amsterdam University was founded in 1632. It is the Top 100 world famous university with a long history; meanwhile, it is one of Europe's largest comprehensive universities, cultivated six Nobel Prize winners.
