SJTU Delegation Visited HKUST and CUHK

From December 5 to 8, SJTU Delegation led by President Zhang Jie visited The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) and The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). The visit coincided with the 50th anniversary of CUHK. President Zhang made a keynote speech at the CUHK Golden Jubilee University Presidents' Forum and discussed with university presidents from Britain, America, Australia and China about promoting intercultural and multicultural exchanges in universities. During the visit, President Zhang, on behalf of SJTU, signed strategic cooperation framework agreement with HKUST and also made a keynote speech in HKUST. Vice President Mei Hong and heads and professors of SJTU Graduate School, Division for Development of Liberal Arts, Division of International Cooperation and Exchange, School of Humanities, School of Life Sciences and Biotechnology, School of Biomedical Engineering, Department of Mathematics, were in the delegation and communicated with their counterparts of HKUST and CUHK.

On December 7, the Golden Jubilee University Presidents' Forum was held at CUHK. It attracted some 40 leaders of higher learning from 14 countries and regions to engage in a high-level dialogue to promote multicultural exchanges in universities.
