NAE Member Huajian Gao Guested at Master Forum

On Jan 6, 2014, Prof. Huajian Gao, world-renowned dynamicist, director at the Max Planck Institute for Metals Research in Stuttgart, GER, and member of National Academy of Engineering (NAE), USA, was invited by Master Forum and gave a lecture, Cytosis Mechanism of 1D and 2D Nanomaterials.

President Zhang Jie attended the lecture and conferred Honorary Professor Appointment on Prof. Huajian Gao.

In the lecture, by mentioning PM2.5, a hot topic nowadays, Prof. Gao explained the possible reactions of our body when particles of various sizes are inhaled. He vividly depicted the process of nano-objects penetrating into cells and pointed out the unique properties of carbon nanotube (CNT). After the lecture, Zhang Weigang, Chair of the School Council of NAOCE, on behalf of the organizer, presented Prof. Huajian Gao a gift. Prof. Gao left his handprint and his words to SJTU students.
