The Naming Ceremony of Cheng Jianmin Building Grandly Held

On the morning of July 4, the naming ceremony of "Cheng Jianmin Building" was grandly held at the hall of the main building, School of Pharmacy. President Zhang Jie, and alumni Cheng Jianmin, Zhou Jiakeng, Cheng Minghe, Yao Jia, together with their family members, unveiled the naming plate. Vice President Zhang Ansheng hosted the ceremony.

Mr. Cheng Minghe and Ms. Yao Jia is a couple who graduated from SJTU in 1985. Upholding the motto "when you drink water, never shall you forget its source; love your motherland and bring honor to your Alma Mater", they closely watch the development of SJTU all along. They once set an alumnus scholarship on Biomedical Engineering and established a Fund named after Cheng's Family to support talent cultivation and discipline development of their Alma Mater, SJTU. In order to thank their long-time support, SJTU decided to name the main building of the School of Pharmacy "Cheng Jianmin Building".

At the ceremony, President Zhang Jie presented Mr. Cheng Minghe and his family a gift, the picture of Cheng Jianmin Building elaborately painted by Xu Jinghang, a student of the School of Environmental Science and Engineering.
