Understanding Memorandum between SJTU & Cranfield University Signed

On September 23, a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between SJTU and Cranfield University was signed on Minhang Campus. SJTU President Zhang Jie, Vice Presidents Guo Xinli, Cranfield President Sir Peter Gregson, Vice president Phil John, Minister of Human Resource Department of COMAC Luo Meijian and others attended the ceremony.

According to this Memorandum of Understanding, the two universities would seek for the manner of cooperation in order to establish a cooperative relationship which could facilitate developmental goals of both sides. In addition, they will cooperate in many other aspects such as training courses on double majors and advanced technology, joint-research programs, and exchanging visiting scholars.

Sir Peter Gregson said that since both SJTU and Cranfield have strong engineering and management capabilities in Aeronautics and Astronautics, he hoped to combine those two fields and cooperate in an innovative way. SJTU President Zhang Jie agreed and said that this cooperation would create both a new opportunity and a new direction of both sides, and the prospects must be bright.
