SJTU 2015 Undergraduates Graduation Ceremony Grandly Held

In the morning of July 5, 2015, SJTU 2015 Graduation Ceremony for undergraduates was held on Minhang Campus. Chairperson of the University Council Jiang Sixian, President Zhang Jie, Vice Presidents Guo Xinli, Lin Zhongqin, Sun Dalin, Wu Dan, Zhu Jian,Zhang Ansheng, Xu Xuemin, outstanding alumna Ye Jun graduated in 1988, member of the US National Academy of Sciences, as well as teachers, students and parents attended the ceremony. The ceremony was hosted by Xu Xuemin.

President Zhang Jie delivered the speech titled "Love lets us go on". He spoke to the graduates as follows: "You need to find out what you love because your love would be the power to pursue what you want. You need to love your life, your family and your career."

President Zhu Jian announced "Shanghai outstanding graduates list" and "Shanghai Jiaotong University graduates employed by Midwest key units list."

On the ceremony, outstanding alumna Ye Jun graduated in 1988, member of the US National Academy of Sciences shared his "beautiful youth" at SJTU and expressed his hope that all the SJTU graduates would be gratitude, responsible, enthusiastic and hopeful.

On behalf of all the SJTU gratuates, Ren Qingyu from School of Electronic, Information and Electrical Engineering shared his understanding towards life in SJTU and his dream.

At the ceremony, graduates from different college stood up as a unit in turn after their dean submitted to Zhang Jie the list of college students who earned a degree in 2015.Then the name list was read out by President Zhang Jie and all the graduates were congratulated by Chairperson of the University Council Jiang Sixian and President Zhang Jie.

The graduates gave a Marble carving of a book as present to SJTU.

Chairperson of the University Council Jiang Sixian announced the 120th Anniversary Logo. He pointed out three sentenced to the graduates "Don't forget your original intention." "Knowledge and action should go hand in hand.""Be Diligent and Enterprising."

At the end of the ceremony, all the graduates stood up and sang in unison the School Song of Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
