Vice President Jessica Corner of University of Nottingham Visited SJTU

On November 12nd, Prof. Jessica Corner, Vice President of University of Nottingham, visited Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Academician Mao Junfa, SJTU Vice President met the guests.

During the meeting, Mao Junfa stated that the two universities, with more than ten years of friendship, have developed in-depth and fruitful cooperation in life sciences and other fields. Professors in the two universities have gained cooperative support from Ministry of Science and Technology of the two countries through the "Newton Fund" and "EU Horizon 2020 Project".

Jessica Corner mentioned that the two universities, both members of Universitas 21, are in frequent high-level interaction and deep cooperation. The University of Nottingham is implementing the Excellent Discipline Project in six major fields, hoping to promote win-win cooperation with SJTU in preponderant disciplines and other fields.

During the meeting, leaders of the two universities exchanged views on specific plans for future cooperation. Both sides hope for further cooperation and contact in artificial intelligence and imaging science, in order to enhance cooperation level and expand cooperation disciplines.
