Professor He Li of University of Oxford Appointed as Chair Professor of SJTU

On May 16, 2014, the appointment ceremony of He Li as SJTU Chair Professor was held, in which Professor He Li from engineering department of University of Oxford was appointed as visiting Chair Professor. Vice President Huang Zhen met with Professor He li and presented him the letter of appointment.
Huang spoke highly of He Li's achievement in the research on engines, and he hoped that Professor He could provide great support to the development of aerospace in SJTU, especially the research on engines.
Professor He Li now is the professor in engineering department of University of Oxford. He once worked as consultant in transnational corporations like ROLLS-ROYCE, Pratt-Whitney Aircraft Engines, Siemens Power, Alstom Power and Mitsubishi. He is the pioneer of advanced model and methods in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), which widely apply to NASA (TURBO code), German Space Centre (DLR, TRACE code). Rolls-Royce (ITP, Spain), Pratt-Whiney Aircraft Engines (US), code NUMECA,European Gas Turbines/ABB-ALSTOM; Rolls-Royce; Siemens Power Generation (UK and Europe); Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. Presently Professor He is Fellow of Royal Aeronautical Society, ASME Fellow. In 2009, he won ASME Gas Turbine Conference Heat transfer Best Paper Award.
