World's Leading Academic Publishers "Nature", "Science" and Cambridge Visiting SJTU

Recently, world's leading academic publishers "Nature", "Science" and Cambridge have come to visit SJTU for the discussion of all-round cooperation, which is a sign of SJTU's increasing innovation capability, academic influence and international reputation as a result of the implementation of series reforms by SJTU in recent years.

In the morning of November 18th, Annette • Thomas, CEO of Macmillan Science and Education Group (the Publisher of "Nature" magazine) and his delegation visited SJTU. Zhang Jie, President of SJTU and faculty of relevant departments warmly received Annette and held an in-depth cooperation forum.

Zhang Jie said McMillan Group and "Nature" Publishing Group has a long history and rich heritage, and it is of great significance for both sides to be able to cooperate.

Dr. Annette • Thomas introduced to Zhang Jie the history of Macmillan Group and share the idea that the group is going to hold China as an important strategic place for future development.

In the afternoon of November 18th, Ms Wu Ruolei, Deputy Director of International Collaboration, Operation and Publishing of "Science" magazines also visited SJTU.

On November 19th, Mandy Hill, Director of Academic Publishing of Cambridge University Press and his party visited President of SJTU Zhang Jie and faculty of relevant departments warmly received them.

Zhang Jie talked about the importance of developing humanities and social sciences, while Mandy Hill introduced the history of Cambridge University Press and expressed the hope to establish all-round and in-depth cooperation with SJTU.
