Biography
Professor Hu Jin, vice president of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, is in charge of organization work, the united front work, human resources work, veteran cadre work, Retirees Committee, Party school and The Party committee, etc.
Professor Hu graduated from the School of Mechanical Engineering of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, majoring in Power and Energy Engineering. He is currently a Professor and doctoral supervisor of SJTU.
Professor Hu used to hold the positions of the director of publicity office, dean of the school of humanities，board director of the school of International and Public Affairs, director of the organization department, etc. Having actively engaged in the research field of human resources management, Professor Hu has published a number of books including Human Resource Management in Public Sector, Public Organizational Behavior, Contemporary Chinese Political Philosophy and Innovation and Development. He has been awarded numerous prizes, including the first prize of outstanding scientific research work from the Ministry of Personnel, the second prize of outstanding research work from the Ministry of education for three times, Shanghai Outstanding Teaching Awards twice. He is also the deputy director of Research Association of CPC Construction of Universities in Shanghai and executive director of Shanghai Association of Management Science and Association of Political Science.
